Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Full-time Administrative Assistant to joint its central Administration team in South Seattle. The Admin Assistant provides support to the Administration Team to carry out day-to-day tasks.

The successful candidate will be mission driven and will be an example-setting, dedicated professional, solution-based problem solver, knowledgeable resource, aware connector, effective communicator and community-minded advocate. Job duties include executive support and sharing in the administrative duties of the Admin team. This is a great position for those seeking to gain experience in non-profit and/or health care administration and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for upkeep and organization of the Front Desk Reception area.
  • Compiles information and prepares reports.
  • Reviews and processes check requests and checks. 
  • Processes all incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Answers and directs incoming calls.
  • Supports executives and executive assistants in Administration.
  • Good verbal and written abilities, clerical ability to compile, interpret and utilize information. Must
    be able to communicate effectively with staff.
  • Copies, collates, and distributes important material to appropriate parties. Performs a variety of other clerical duties as requested.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, use good judgment, maintain confidentiality, and
    prioritize workload.
  • Data entry
  • Greets and directs all visitors to the building.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:  

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent to the US required.
  • College degree highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access.
  • Requires excellent oral and written English, organizational and customer service skills. 
  • Must be able to multi-task, problem solve, thrive in a dynamic work environment, and enjoy working with a variety of people.
  • Administrative office, non-profit and/or healthcare experience a plus.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred.
