System Administrator Architect & Manager - Posting #27227

Hourly Rate: $62.50 - $81.30
Annual Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 (DOE)

Position Summary:

Full-time position available for our IT Department in Seattle, WA. Highly experienced Systems Architect focused on systems infrastructure and governance of the IT department. Responsible for all aspects of enterprise architecture oversight involving systems and network/s topologies, including servers, operating systems, databases, storage, backup systems, power systems (including UPS), switches, border devices (including anti-virus and anti-spam services) and control systems. This includes oversight of datacenters, network design, individual facility technology design (e.g., clinics, admin facilities, etc.) and security, aligned with the organization’s technical architecture standards. Oversight of the System and SharePoint Administrators. Provides team members with tasking, priorities, mentoring and training as available. This position will be required to travel to the IT Department in Vancouver, WA as needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance with organization’s technical architecture standards including ongoing gap analysis and recommendations.
  • Provides regular updates to standards as needed.
  • Ensure system security through effective use of monitoring, logging, and enforcing standards.
  • Maintain organization’s Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plan including scheduled testing and plan updates.
  • Redundancy and scalability planning for all new enterprise environments.
  • Maintenance planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Monitoring/identification of trends in usage, traffic, storage, and proposed capacity management remedies.
  • Management and monitoring of new system rollouts as well as patches/updates to existing systems.
  • Significant input into IT budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Plan server, network, application, database, Microsoft 365, and disaster recovery implementations. Assist in executing implementation plans.
  • Manage AWS, Azure and other cloud resources including identity management server hosting, and storage.
  • Manage Capacity Planning for Server and storage systems.
  • Review and test disaster recovery planning, testing and backup and recovery processes.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of IT personnel.
  • Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience with oversight of complex, multi-site LAN/WAN configurations including understanding of VLANs.
  • Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience of mixed hybrid server environment on premise and in the cloud.
  • Significant experience in creating documentation and technical instructions.
  • Demonstrated 10+ years of experience as a System Engineer.
  • Significant experience with Windows Server platforms with an emphasis on Active Directory.
  • Strong background in Exchange and Microsoft 365 system.
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with Cisco routers & switches, Internet firewalls, and wireless technology and how they tie to production environments for service delivery.
  • Windows Power Shell and/or Python skills.
  • Experience setting up and managing database environments such as SQL Server.
  • Storage design, implementation, and management.
  • Disaster Recovery implementation and testing.
  • Required language - English.

Desired:

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint setup, configuration, and operation.

Education and/or Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience.
  • Microsoft Certifications in Server and Azure are preferred.
  • Certifications such as Network+ and Security+ are preferred.
  • AWS Certifications preferred.
