Annual Salary: $75,000+ (Negotiable DOE)
This position is eligible for a $2,500 signing/retention bonus. Sea Mar BH is also an eligible site for both state and federal student loan repayment programs.
Position Summary:
Sea Mar's Behavioral Health department in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a clinical supervisor for the New Journeys First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program. The program utilizes the New Journeys Coordinated Specialty Care model (CSC) which is a team-based, multidisciplinary, recovery-oriented model serving Transition Age Youth (TAY) and adults, between the ages of 15-40 years that are experiencing first episode psychosis. This position does require some community based services.
The FEP clinical supervisor monitors and oversees a team of 5 in all program operations, leads regular team clinical meetings, and supervises the other team clinicians. The supervisor is responsible for outreach and community education, develops strong referral sources, and leads the screening process for referrals. They are the primary contact person for participants and families and spearhead efforts to engage participants in treatment. As a dual role, this team member also serves as the family education provider as they use shared decision making with individuals and their families providing education about psychosis and how to manage it, improving communication and problem-solving skills, and encourages a strengths-based, recovery-oriented approach to psychosis.
The ideal candidate is a fully independently licensed clinician with experience in diagnostic screening/assessment of psychotic disorders, and expertise in working with individuals with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders and their families utilizing evidence-based practices such as multi-family groups and connecting them with an array of family self-help tools and resources. This will receive specialized training from the University of Washington in identification and treatment of FEP as well as in the CSC model, New Journeys based on the NAVIGATE model of CSC. This clinical supervisor will also have access to expert monthly training, consultation, and free CEUs.
