Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $21.00
Annual Salary: $41,600 - $43,680

Position Summary:

Sea Mar seeks a full time Maintenance/Housekeeping II for its affordable housing property Rock Creek Terrace in Stevenson, WA. This position is responsible for the daily upkeep of the facilities to ensure a safe, sanitary and attractive environment for tenants and employees. Performs janitorial tasks, routine maintenance, supplies and equipment inspections, responds to tenant maintenance requests, performs grounds maintenance, and completes repairs on vacant units. Must be fully fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Flu and COVID-19 vaccination is required unless an exemption is approved by Sea Mar Administration.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping: Performs simple repetitive tasks to maintain the property’s facilities in a sanitary, orderly, safe and attractive condition. Cleans facilities by washing furnishings, floors and equipment with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease. Uses dust cloths and vacuum cleaner to dust windowsills, blinds, floors and furniture. Empties trash baskets and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion. Scours and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors and similar furnishings. Replenish supplies of soap, towels and other dispensable items. Orders when supplies are low. Keeps utility/supply room in good order.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Mowing grass, weeding, raking leaves, pruning trees, shoveling snow and debris from sidewalk and maintaining grounds and building perimeter in clean attractive environment for tenants and employees.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Performs a variety of maintenance and handiwork duties for the property. Reports any mechanical failures or negative conditions to their supervisor. Observes all safety precautions while performing duties and requests assistance when carrying or moving heavy objects. The employee maybe asked to perform variety of simple repairs, which will require some knowledge of the following: plastering, plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical work.
  • Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Area: Responsible for maintaining and cleaning equipment such as mops, buckets, cleaning solutions, vacuum cleaner and utility carts. May be asked to do special jobs, which required the use of rental equipment.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications and/or Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • No formal experience is required for this job; however, experience may be substituted for education.
  • Driver's license, auto liability insurance, and a reliable automobile required.
  • English speaking required, bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
